Questions about a used Orient Commuter (STi) watch I bought...

I've been a long time lurker on WUS and I recently picked up a used Orient Commuter STi watch and while I love the design I bought this as a daily beater/possible mod watch and I've got some questions about it.
I notice that the face which in pictures on Orient USA's website are much blacker than mine which has a slight bluish hue to it (though it could be the crystal). The crystal also has what looks to be a slight discoloration that looks like an oil spot and haze to it which I'm wondering if it can be buffed/cleaned out as it looks to be internal. I do see on the OWUSA video for the watch they mention the crown needs to be snugged down to ensure no moisture gets inside or you'll notice what looks like condensation which I wonder if it's the same issue. My questions would be does anyone make a replacement sapphire for this watch or what would be recommended for cleaning and polishing the mineral crystal? Also I notice the lume on the watch hands and indices appears slightly splotchy (hard to take a picture of) so I was wondering where I may be able to get some lume paint to re-lume the indices and hands or if there is an Orient specialist people can recommend on here.



This is the watch on a black leather alligator strap while I prepare to refinish the bracelet.

So I opened up the watch and removed the movement and cleaned the crystal and sure enough there was a film on the back side. Now the dial looks as black as it should have. Next up is to plan on doing a re-lume on it since the lume looks splotchy for some reason. Anyone know where to get some lume paint?

You will need to indicate where you live in the world in order to get a correct respnse to your question.. As an example my last lot of lume material was from the USA.. Now they are not allowed to export overseas..
