I cannot for the life of me tell if the dial is glossy like my pepsi model or if it is more of a matte like the black one. I like the look, but I'm not sure I can justify another mako, especially a more expensive one, if it has a dull dial. (Yeah, I know it's like $20 more expensive, but I'd rather get a different watch if I'm going to end up not liking this one)
So, to those who own a yellow mako, is the dial glossy or matte?
Very interesting! I didn't know that the dial finish is different with different colored Makos. I have the yellow Mako which had been getting very little wrist time lately. But when I wore it, I was always impressed by the metallic effect of the yellow dial. I'm not sure if you would consider it matte but I would definitely not call it glossy. It really is the best yellow dial I've seen so far. It is an effect that's extremely hard to capture on camera. After doing a search on google images, I agree with you that it's really hard to tell if its glossy or not. Even when I'm wearing the watch it does appear glossy at certain angles and lighting.

I agree with the above...which may not be too helpful...it's the perfect blend between "bright" yellow without being loud or neon, but I don't know if I can classify it as either matte or gloss. But I love it!
I just got mine today. It really is a hard color to describe. I agree the color does not show well in pictures. I feel like it leans more towards matte than towards glossy. I really like the color.
