My first tag auto that needs a winder

    Hello,
My wife surprised me for my 40th birthday with a tag heuer carrera calibre 16, After reading all about these winders and cost I'd rather buy a new Seiko Monster.
I love my tag but i will not be wearing every day, Just to nice. My trusty Skyhawk and Mako will carry most of the load.To get to the point I'm reading so many different reviews on cheap and high end models I totally have no idea what to get.
With this watch I plan on keeping a lifetime and only want the best for it .Any help would be much appreciated.Click image for larger version.

My first reaction was: You don't need a winder.
Second thought: Did he flick through this sub-forum ? Probably not. There are 100 of recommendations already. Try and find out what suits you best.

Just set it and go when you want. Using a watch winder is like keeping your car engine running 24 hours a day. It's waste of resources and will likely contribute to earlier mechanical complications.
Winding a watch is part of the fun!

A winder is a convenience, particularly if you have automatics with calendar complications that are cumbersome to re-set, or if you have several watches, each of which you wear every few days. Other than that, you can be comfortable taking a pass on a winder. I do have a winder, I like it, but I use it for watches I wear regularly, but not daily. It is not a necessity, and it will not harm your watch not to use one.
