    Woke up to stopped watches

Seems that after just three years, my winder gave up the ghost. A winder that stops winding isn't worth very much.

Now, I know about the very exorbitantly priced winders out there, but my budget wasn't figuring in needed to buy a new watch winder and I'm now at a loss as to what more affordable (~$300) winders are out there. Any help would be great.

I'm looking for something that holds two watches, each one on its own winding cylinder (my old design had two on the same cylinder, so I had to put a bit of card between the watches to keep them from banging into each other (only after noticing that my Monaco had chipped off the plating on my Hamilton's crown).

I'd be willing to spend a little more, but hesitant if these things only last three years.

Something like this would be cool, but it's so cheap I'm not sure I trust it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why waste money and electricity on a winder? Never owned one, never will...totally unnecessary in my opinion.

Many here hold that opinion. I do not. I prefer to keep most of my watches running, so they are all ready for me when I choose my watch in the morning.

I would open it up and try fixing it yourself. Probably a burnt out motor, slipped belt or something easy. Satisfying and a whole lot cheaper than $300.

i'd stay far away from the winder you show in your original post. the fact that they use such poor fake breitling's in their promotional photos shows what a shoddy company they are in my opinion. a reputable company would be able tto find a couple genuine watches for the day of the photo shoot.

I think you underestimate how not handy I am. But, what have I got to lose? It's already broken, I can't exactly make it worse.

Oh yeah, I'm not getting that one. Just an example of what kind of design I'm looking for (one watch on each cylinder).
