How to operate the G-Shock DeskTop Accessory

    Hi,

CASIO created a cool piece of software called the G-SHOCK DeskTop Accessory. This was released in the 2nd half of 1999 at the moment the FROGMAN DW-9901WC-T was introduced. i.e.: Vintage software, a must have for a G-Shocker I presume :-D
Ozzie reminded us that this software existed once in a far past and was presumed to be lost; but just in time before the code was lost forever it was recovered! Together with Sjors we managed to give it life again and decode the Japanese operation instructions :gold The software shows a resizable G-Shock watch on your desktop. It features time, date, alarm and even EL light

    Installation Instructions:

The software and detailed installation instructions can be found at the following site:Menu Options:

As this is a genuine Japanese piece of software code, all menu's are in Japanese also. So, some more menu clarifications might be useful:
    - When you have the software installed and up&running, click with your right mouse button on the watch so that the following menu pops up:

    - When you select the 6th menu option, it will give you even more settings:

    Some operation examples:

    Remember size
If you want to save the size of the watch so it starts the next time with the same size:
    1. Right click the watch to get the menu
    2. Select the 6th menu option:

    3. Mark the following checkbox as selected:
    4. Hit apply settings:
    5. Hit OK:
    Remember location
If you want to save the location of the watch so it starts the next time at the same desktop location:
    1. Right click the watch to get the menu
    2. Mark the 4th menu option as selected:
    3. If you like you can now exit the application via the 7th menu option:
    4. And you will see the coordinates of the watch in the settings file:
Of course no guarantees it works on your system's platform; as we did not create the software any installation you perform is at your own risk of course  We used it on the XP platform without any problem.

    Well, hope you enjoy this!

Re: How to operate the G-Shock DeskTop Accessory

    Cute Frogie-progie.

When I had downloaded it, I was really dissapointed that there is no any original G alarm sounds.

So I have no choise that just made some. ^_^

And I made it with my Gaussman.

You can download it directly and in anytime.

There is 4 different alarm sounds.

(It's better to use your download manager, "save as..." doesn't work well)

    Gaussman al.sound1
    Gaussman al.sound2
    Gaussman al.sound3
    Gaussman al.sound4

Not sure how usefull this for morning alarm function, but sounds very authentic.
