How do you feel about it at this early stage in comparison with your old HBII?

I'm enjoying it more actually. The HBII was an awesome piece and I had a lot of peace of mind whilst wearing it due to the heat treated "hardened" steel and DLC finish. I knew I could wear it out and not get a ding on it. But it was still a very sporty nice weekend/friday watch.

The One 2.6 though, goes very well with a suit. I am a little more careful with it due to the mixture of brushed and polished surfaces, but that immeasurably ups the classiness of the watch. I do want to get some new shoes for it though, tossing up either a bracelet or a calf strap.

I'm still amazed by the AR, the dial completely pops out at you. Everything about this watch just melds together from the hand shape to the datewheel font to the dial and screws. I liken this piece to an AP ROO Black theme, both a classy and sporty piece immediately. Not to mention the lume burns pretty strong, almost on par with the PAMs.

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear you're gelling with it so well. 'The One' is a fantastic piece and looks to be very versatile, which is very appealing. The ease of strap changing is also a big positive, especially compared with the headache that is Anonimo's system for most of their pre-2010 watches, and I especially like the difference the bracelet makes.

Now hopefully my 3 timer arrives, but if it's lost for good then a 'One' may be on the cards. Enjoy!

Which one did you get for the 3 Timer? Some interesting pieces there. I liked the Racing red 3-Timer.



I do like the strap changing system, but the problem with it is the availability of straps. LW do make nice straps, but I much prefer having other options like with PAMs and with the integrated metal plate within the straps, I've not seen any strapmaker step up to give these a shot yet. And these arn't cheap from LW direct either, though with the EUR the way it is now...better grab it now than later.

Heard rumblings that a price increase is in the works soon too and also a move away from ETA based movements.

I bought the black-faced 3 timer (pic of actual watch below):




I really like the limited edition racing versions, in both colours. My race car (as in my avatar) is black and yellow so would love to get my hands on one! Actually, I like all the 3-timer variations, and would probably take the green or brown given the option. Mine was to come with a few nice bands (rubber, textile, pindot) as well as the ardillion and deployment buckles so strap changing would have been a breeze. Agreed on the options of straps though, as they are pretty heftily priced from LW that's for sure!

Very nice, there was a racing yellow that came up for sale recently here in Singapore and it looked stunning. Agree it would fit in very nicely with your car.
