    New strap tool

Just for your information, then LW was working on a new strap tool that should make it easier to change straps. The tool has arrived at LW yesterday...

Mine is in the post, and I will update once tried and tested.

    Have a nice weekend

    Re: New strap tool

I had an email conversation with LW about the current tool and some possible improvements. I'm interested to see what the new one(s) look like. My "suggestions" were, something other than metal for the "screw" end in order to reduce chances of scratching the case, and, two tools so that the springbar end doesn't prod in the palm while using the screw end.

Post pics when you get it.

    tks.

    Re: New strap tool

    Finally got it!

I was very confused when I opened the package - as it is the same as before... Asked LW what was so different about it, and they answered that they had removed the tool for the springfunction, as they found it a little too dangerous...(?!)

Needless to say, that I was/am a little disappointed, as I was also hoping to see some more innovative from them. Would defo have made sense to make the bolt tool in a hard plastic or something similar that doesnt scratch the bolts (especially the DLCed ones). And I will still have to use the old tool for the springfunction.

Ohh well, it does the job as well as the old tool...
