    Production Okto II released

Article from Hodinkee here: The Linde Werdelin Oktopus II Double Date Becomes Official, With A Few Changes Since Basel

I much preferred the older Okto 1.6 to the Okto II when the initial images were released, which is what ultimately prompted me to purchase mine not long after I saw them. However, this updated version with subtle changes and a new colour scheme has really won me over. What a stunner!

I think this will be a popular model for LW, they've done a great job

    Cool Stunning...!!!

The blue Okto II looks yummy...!!!

And the few subtle changes not only makes it stunning but practical as well (the cut out portion of the crown guard).

On the personal note, I am not sure if I am digging the rough brushed finish.

But overall, the Okto II is a killa...!!!

Cant wait to see it in the metal.

    Thanks for sharing bro.

    Re: Stunning...!!!

I think the cutout of the crown guard is especially wise, as it's one of the bug-bears with other pieces.

Agreed on the finish as well - I prefer the older version on this front. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me though.

Did you end up finding a ti version to trade with?

    Unless...

You wanna trade yours with mine...? Both of us has got the prosperous no 8/88 ... lol.

Yup...still searching for the ti to trade with my Dark Knight.

I still very much in love with the original Okto thought I dont mind the Okto II too.

    Cheers.

    Re: Nope..Not Yet...

You have 8/88 too? Very cool!

I really like your 'Dark Knight' version, but I love the ti so I can't see it going anywhere in the near future.

The Okto II is really nice, and a wee bit tempting, but I'm not so sure I like it more than the original. I think the original Okto is one of LW's best designs, and they're so rare on the second hand market I think if I were ever to sell it I'd have a really hard time getting my hands on another.

You know. When I saw the yellow I thought I want it but with a black strap but then wished they had a blue version. Then they go and do this. I know it's far too expensive for what it is, I know it will be to big on me but I still want it! It is unique and beautiful in its own way. Anyway Dane whenever your ready to sell your okto 1. . . You know where I am . Ha ha? One day I wil have an LW somehow.

The Blue is a definite winner for me. It's tough to justify at the price, but doesn't mean I'm not trying

Haha I'll keep it in mind Chris! I've got no plans to sell the Okto at the moment, but I may be letting go of my 3-Timer. Though a little undecided at this point...hmmmmm.

    Cheers,

    Dane
