    Saw the Spidospeed today!

Our rep flew in today to check out the store and was wearing his Spidospeed! He was wearing the concept that was brought to Basel for the launch. From what he told me LW are still making changes to the watch.

The first thing I noticed was the weight, it has great weight. I say this compared to the Spidolite in steel dlc, it's heavier and thicker and feels much more substantial which I love. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

    What do you think?

Great looking watch! Just wondering why the hands are white on this watch and blue on the LW website?

Good eyes, as Adam mentioned in original thread the watch above is the "concept" model with further changes currently in the works. Must say that I think the blue hands look better than the white.

Check out the detail on the main and sub dials.......WOW wow!

Sorry guys no blue hands period, that will not be one of the changes they are going to make. They decided against the blue hands on the production models for some reason still unclear to me.
As much as I do love the pics of the watch with the blue hands, the polished hands look great also.

Thanks for the pics. It's an awesome looking watch for sure! Personally I prefer the stainless steel version, but as always personal taste is (not) debatable

As for the hands, I believe they got quiet a beating that the blue hands on the Spidolite DLC were painted blue, not blue as a result of heat treatment (such as in "blued screws" in movements). In any case the silver hands are more timeless and work fine in my opinion.

What a gorgeous watch... Yes, I do wish that they had left the blued hands alone, but more importantly, they've gotta move the minute track to the edge of the 30-min register -- that's the deal-breaker for me (what's the point of a chronograph if you can't accurately measure the passage of time?).

If they can fix that sub-dial, then I definitely see a SpidoSpeed in my future (as with meislergeisler, make mine naked steel, please).

    Regards,
    Adam

I really think steel will bring out more of the watch case design. The black in this case model, really "covers" some of the details.
I would also keep the blue hands without a doubt!!
Still, its a great looking watch, just the wrong colour.
