Top "Daily Wearers" in your inventory

    Hello All,

I hope this posting finds everyone doing well. I'm curious about other collectors watch wearing habits as in, do you tend to stick to one or two watches on a regular basis or do you rotate evenly within your collection or perhaps, wear one and stash away the rest?

I believe most of us have a watch collection of sorts. To share with you my habits, I find that I wear a certain set of "daily wearers" and only every once in a while, I'll pull something else out of the box, get reintroduced to it and maybe after a day or so it goes back in the box. I'm then back to my daily wearers.

So, I find in my collection I have about 4/5 pieces I wear most of the time at work, play, etc. 24/7/365 - broken down as such:

    40% LW Oktopus (Ti)
    20% Rolex Sea Dweller (16600)
    20% Ventura Globe II (Ti)
    10% G-Shock (Black Plastic)
10% Stocker & Yale (Sandy) 650 (Black Synthetic)

It'd be kinda neat to see your inputs and wearaging (?) percentages by make and model.

    Jim

Interesting post. I now "only" own 15-20 watches usually and wear almost all of them regularly as I rotate thru my collection by switching usually twice a day. But I think my Breitling Ti Seawolf, Tag Aquaracer and Omega SMP see the most wrist time.

Good thread! Hmmmm.... let's see...... hard to break it down over the span of a year because I just recently obtained an LW One, and it has been monopolizing my wrist as of late. Instead, I will just go with a projection of sorts:

    LW One 35%
    Omega PO 20%
    Omega Speedy Pro 15%
    Breitling Chronomat Evo 15%
    Seiko Orange Monster 10%
    Oris TT1 Diver 5%

Interesting question - difficult to answer personally as my priorities change through time. So whatever answer I give will only reflect my current likes.

Having said that the watch that gets most wristtime lately is the Spidolite SA, followed by a PAM 23A that I just love based on the rich patina of the markers. For "heavy duty" activities such as gardening (yeah, you may laugh at that) I find myself enjoying the Aquatimer 3536 for simplicity and solidity.

And then tere's the PAM26B, the Hard Black I and and and ...

Definitely an interesting question! My wearing patterns change if I get a new watch like everyone else but I do have my favorites and some that don't get very much wrist time at all. My current favorite is my AP Diver which kicked my LW to the second position when I got it a couple of months ago. I do try and rotate a couple of times a week but I would never change my watch several times a day like others do. Currently I would say this is how it breaks down for me:

    AP Diver - 25%
    LW The One - 20%
Hublot Big Bang Black Magic - 15%
AP Royal Oak Chronograph - 10%
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Dark Knight - 10%
    IWC Aquatimer 2000 - 10%
    Cartier Santos 100 ADLC - 10%

Almost no wrist time currently for: (and some will probably go up for sale soon)
    Franck Muller Casablanca
    Cartier Pasha Chronograph
    Cartier Santos Moon Phase
    Archimede Pilot XLA
    Anonimo Millemetri

    SO is currently "borrowing":
    Panerai Radiomir 183G

    Jim et al,

My LWTO gets the majority of wear these days. With the variety of straps etc I have a hard time justifying wearing much else, so a few pieces from my small collection get lonely. The exceptions are for the gym, working around the house, yard or vehicles I usually put on the Victorinox Dive Master 500 (I really like the watch and I'm not as concerned about dinging it). My Oris TT Diver date gets some use depending on what I'm wearing. It's a blue dial so I'm wearing it today 'cause it suits my Barracuta G9 in navy a little better than the black faced LWTO. I'll be putting on a dinner jacket tonight so it'll be back to the LWTO on alligator.

I usually change my watch once or twice a day, sometimes just because I feel like it. That's what they're there for right? But, really the "One" is the one.

I rotate pretty frequently. When a new watch is acquired I tend to wear it more when it's new then when I've had it for a while. Currently, though, the rotation goes like this:

    40% GW-3000B-1A G-Shock

    20% Hamilton Khaki Field 42mm

    20% Citizen Promaster Nighthawk

    20% Citizen BL5400-52A Perpetual Calendar/Chronograph

Re: Top "Daily Wearers" in your inventory

My collection has been steady now for the past 6 months and now that I'm finally back to work the wearing pattern lookslike this:

    Rolex EXP II - 50%
    LW Spidolite - 30%
    LW Hard Black - 20%

The above really has very little to do with which watch I like the most it's simply on occasion and practicality, the Rolex is most used simply because I have no issues if it gets a little dinged and I find it matches all occasions better than the current LW's. If the question was in order of most liked/admired, the list would look like this:

    1) LW Spidolite
    2) LW Hard Black
    3) Rolex EXP II

    Weird hey?
