Picture A visit to E'Collezione Singapore

    Up the Ante
    by Jorn Werdelin:

Once again, I was back on the watch lovers’ soil last week, as Morten and I were invited to Singapore by our retailer E’Collezione.

Staying close to customers is important. We constantly think about how to create more interesting timepieces that, first and foremost, we love - and hopefully when customers see them, they will go "woof, I must own this piece". In Singapore, customers’ reactions were testament to their belief in us as we delivered the SpidoSpeeds into their hands.

Over the years, we have had to learn to stay true to and up the ante on what we started - what we do is really only about making incredibly desirable timepieces injecting as much of our own energy and personality into them with a fine balance of design and function - and that is not as easy as it sounds.

And to make sense for us, there is only a certain pace - organic - we can grow in. Everything takes time and effort to develop, not to mention the external factors, yet Morten and I are involved in the smallest detail and sometimes we could use another pair of us. That is partly the reason we want to keep our collections relatively exclusive, so that we can give our best to everything we create and to customers.

    Thanks Ernie,

Fond memories indeed, I was very fortunate to meet both Jorn and Morton in Singapore just days before my family and I relocated to Canada, the guys were great to talk with and share opinions; handling the new SpidoSpeed was something else too. That's me and Jeffrey (LW AD) in the top picture
