Following Place Vendôme in Paris and Madison Avenue, Beverly Hills, Ginza is the 35th Hublot boutique as its expansion in the luxury retail sector is set to continue throughout 2011 and well into the future. The boutique’s design, by Peter Marino, the famous New York “star” architect, carries the same concept as the Hublot boutique in Place Vendôme, Paris (opened in December 2010) and Madison Avenue, New York (opened in February 2011) and has been developed by reinterpreting the concept of fusion dear to the brand, and introduced materials such as bronze, natural buckskin or ebony to convey a warm yet tranquil atmosphere. A wide variety of watches will be displayed in the boutique using innovative and captivative showcases, and the newest Hublot events will be displayed on a high definition screen. The new boutique is also the only location to offer “Vendome Collection” in Japan.

Charity Gala Dinner to support “KIDS EARTH FUND”
The gala dinner featuring charity was held to celebrate the opening of Hublot Boutique Ginza, and it is the perfect occasion to give back a part of its success. Hublot, led by Jean-Claude Biver, who loves Japan and visited the country just a week before the Tohoku Earthquake hit on March 11th 2011, was one of the first luxury brands to take action for tragic disaster. Just after the chaos, Hublot launched “Commitment for Japan, You and Hublot for Japan” campaign on Hublot official website to raise funds via Red Cross Society for support.
Hublot was touched by the devoted activities of “KIDS EARTH FUND” that has developed volunteer work worldwide to save the children who have suffered from disaster, war, conflict, poverty by promoting campaigns of drawing workshops. Hublot donated 10,000 sets of coloured pencils Caran d’Ache to KEF to support their activities. The heart-warming gifts had been brought to the children by KEF and they are helpful used in consecutive drawing workshops at the disaster areas. These activities help to heal their mental damages by expressing themselves through drawing.
As a special feature of the event, Hublot announced that the “King Power Red Devil – precious limited number “000 of 500” will be presented for on-line auction to raise funds for children in despair. The auction will commence on the 23rd of June at 14:00 GMT. The registration will begin on the 10th of June via http://www.hublot.com.
