Certain this one is a redial - albeit a very nice looking one

Seamaster Cosmic Crosshair dial. The caliber, jewels all line up to the original, but I'm fairly certain that this one is a redial, even though it's a very good one. The hour & minute hands are correct as well.

The crosshair, IIRC, should not cross the "Cosmic" on the dial. Might be the correct dial for another model, but not for this one.

    Hi,

I have one of these with exact same dial - have also seen a couple of others on websites that look identical too. I recently had it serviced by Omega Approved Service Centre in UK and no mention of any issues with the dial (admittedly I didn't ask the question though). I'm also pretty sure I have seen mention of other Cosmics with crosshairs that are not interrupted by word Cosmic and are not redials. I'm certainly no expert and would also be interested to hear anybody's thoughts on this. I'm not saying it is not a redial but seems if it is there are a few identical ones out there. Apologies in advance for quality of photo but hopefully shows enough...

    Hello Ben!
    Nice to hear from you.
I bought it and really like the dial.
After a polish Its now like new. Last owner on my Watch had it for 10-12 years. Did nothing to it. And after the condition of the watch i can belive that he bought it from the first owner.
If there is several same dials it should be original. Maybe some special edition.

Sorry for my english. Regards Christian Sweden

Judging by Ben's experience with the watch, I'd say its not a redial. If Omega did not mention anything about the dial and there are similar watches out there, I doubt it is a redial.

Congratulations on the purchase - as long as the watch makes you happy, it is a good purchase.
