    speedmaster

I was was looking for a speedy on ebay and came across Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronograph Mens Wrist Watch | eBay

I am alittle nevous about buying on ebay, and getting a fake. What should I look for when looking at a speedy. Does this watch look legit?

It looks okay to me. Plus, judging from the seller's lengthy feedback, a phone number, and a store front, I think you are in the clear.

I'd hesitate buying a quality piece from a seller who can't keep the information straight:

~WATCH RUNS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER
    ~MODEL # 3570.50
~ CASE 42.MM~ STAINLESS STEEL CASE~ STAINLESS STEEL BRACELET~ BLAC DIAL
~ OMEGA LOGO AT THE 12 O'CLOCK POSITION
    ~ CHRONOGRAPH MOVEMENTS AT THE 3, 6 AND 9 O'CLOCK POSITION
~ STAINLSS STEAL LUMINESCENT HANDS~ LUMINESCENT STICK HOUR MARKERS~ AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT (SELF WINDING)~ STAINLESS STEAL WITH BLACK PAINTED DIAL ~ CRYSTAL SHOWS SIGNS OF WEAR~ WILL FIT A STANDARD MENS WRIST~ BRACELET FEATURES FOLD OVER LOCKING CLASP
~ KEEPS TIME GREAT JUST LIKE A BREITLING WATCH SHOULD

Ask them if they'll throw in the Breitling in the last photo... Seriously, though - the watch looks 'genuine' but has badly mis-matched hands - so you would probably need to factor in replacing them with a matched set at the next service - the 'orange' second hand would irritate me. The don't show the movement which is always a concern. I would suspect that this watch needs a serious service and overhaul and you should factor that into what you are prepared to pay for it. As commented by others - feedback of seller is good (but not perfect!) so if it is a dud and especially if you pay with PayPal you may be able to get a refund, but if it runs +/- 30 seconds a day and needs an expensive service that makes it much less of a bargain unless you factor the cost into what you're prepared to pay!
