New York, NY (November 4^th, 2011) – New York watch aficionados will now have the opportunity to view and purchase the exclusive Reconvilier collection in two unique pop up shops located in Selima Optique Madison since November 4^th, 2011 and Selima Optique SoHo beginning December 8^th, 2011, both running through Wednesday, January 18^th, 2012.

Created in the heart of Switzerland in 1905, Reconvilier has capitalized throughout the decades on its unique savoir-faire, continuously adding pioneering technologies. In 2006, Reconvilier was revitalized by a team of new investors and renewed its commitment to superior craftsmanship and bold innovation. For the past five years made-to-order Reconvilier timepieces have been sold exclusively in Europe.

The made-to-order Classic Collection features a modern dial in an elegant and classic watch housing. The models are available in steel, white gold and pink gold with various colors for dials and numbers available. The watch straps are also customizable in leather or exotic skins. Powering the watch is the Automatic - ETA caliber 2824-2 movement.

The Reconvilier Golf-Master collection is the perfect solution for the discerning golfer: a true innovation, it combines traditional Swiss watch making with state-of-the-art technology for the savvy golf enthusiast – precious yet robust, a water resistant and shock-absorbing wristwatch with analogue displays for hours, minutes and seconds. One side of the face is a beautifully crafted and classic Swiss watch. When the face is rotated 180 degrees the other side houses modern GPS technology that measures the precise distance from you to the green. To make this unique combination possible, Reconvilier developed a new housing mechanism known as “Rotar.” The Golf-Master is the first luxury watch to feature this unique technology.

The exclusive collections will be available for the first time in the U.S. during a three month pop-up shop at Selima Optique Madison Avenue (located at 899 Madison Avenue – 72^nd Street)

At the occasion of the US launch, Reconvilier is delighted to support the international humanitarian organization, Action Against Hunger | ACF International. Action Against Hunger is an internationally recognized leader in the fight against malnutrition and runs life-saving programs in over 40 countries benefiting five million people every year.
