    Saddleback Leather goods

Just pulled the trigger on one of these - looking forward to retiring the old backpack for overnight trips, this has a bit more style. Not cheap but I don't think I'll ever need to replace it...Saddleback Leather Co. (Texas) is the manufacturer.

Congrats on the new water-bag! This looks like a great, versatile bag. Let me know what your thoughts are when it arrives.

I have been happy with my Saddleback briefcase ... I have had it now for about 18 months and it has settled in quite nicely. My one complaint is that it is a heavy-heavy bag (at 7.5lbs). But that is to be expected considering the materials used in its assembly. At least I know it will be around forever! Ill post some new photos soon so you can see how the patina has developed.

I agree, Saddleback makes some fantastic leather goods. I purchased the thin Briefcase early last fall and use it daily for work.

Overall, I have been extremely happy with the way the leather is working in!

I love the water bag and would love to have one. I've carried one of their large satchels(dark coffee brown) for a couple yrs and I own one of the tow belts. Really nice stuff that will last forever.

While I don't have experience with Saddleback, they have a sub-forum over on bladeforums.com and it seems they have a lot of happy customers over there on those forums. Congrats on the purchase.

I've purchased a medium size satchel that I use as my work bag, a pouch for my e-reader, and a couple of wallets of different sizes from Saddleback. Excellent quality and you cannot beat their 100 year warranty! I make a regular check of the "Dave's Deals" page too for anything I might find interesting. Sometimes he has some great bargains on merchandise that might only have a minor blemish or two but didn't pass their strict quality inspection. You have to be fast tho, the items in that section never last long before they're snatched up!!
