Sometimes called the SHOM (Service Hydrographique et Océanographique de la Marine) Seamaster after the French civil/military oceanographic agency that believed to have purchased some examples of this model, though it was not exclusive to SHOM. Example pictured here appears to be a restored or recent "NOS" construction with modern luminova hands and dial.
That is a much more accurate description Ryan.
Rather a lot of smoke and mirrors with the SHOM appelation IMO.

    Good work Alex.

You have to go a long way to beat the looks of those CK SM's IMO.

Fascinating thread Alex, all those tempting watches in one place and to see the progression.

    Re: Omega Diver Generations

Your reference ST165.027 shows the wrong watch (calendar) which should be omitted anyway, as although optimistically marked 120M, Omega downgraded its water rating to 60M in 1968.
By your own criteria (0-60 diver bezel), it is dubious whether ST 396.0900 and SO 396.0987 belong to this line up.

I've added in a 145.008 Chronostop (including caseback with depth rating). Thanks, Colin!

    Picture Re: Omega Diver Generations

Great topic here you have, definitely interest of any Seamaster fan! Your efforts are truly appreciated. Now, model variations onwards from 90's can get scary and I may be splitting hairs here, but as not too many quartz watches are listed, I have here my 2008 black quartz 300 M Seamaster or formally 212.30.41.61.01.001 (cal. 1538). Feel free to use it if you do feel that it qualifies.

    Yours, Seaside
