a great article! my 145.022 salutes him.
Although I've liked watches since I was in high school, I didn't discover the WIS community until 2006. I also found Chuck's blog, and enjoyed reading it. Unfortunately, that didn't leave much time for me to enjoy Chuck's work. His knowledge and expertise was really a tribute to a smart guy, but the best part was how friendly he was toward younger or novice WIS guys like me. Many times the pillars of a hobby look down their nose at the younger guys, and in the few board posts or emails I got from Chuck he was quite helpful and friendly. RIP to a really good guy, and my belated thanks to a good guy.
Well done Joe, you've done a great thing.
Thanks for posting this article. While looking through the Omega forum last week I thought about the knowledge/information vacuum since Chuck's passing. As a novice WUS I would feel like I scored when Chuck responded to one of my posts. A class act all the way.
Is part two of this article posted anywhere?
Chuck will never be forgotten. The article was such a good read. Was looking forward to part 2 as well. God rest his soul.
