300 running slow. Is this normal?

My 300 loses a minute approx. every 4 days. Is this normal for its movement?

    From their web site:

    Movement
    ETA 2824-2
self-winding 25 jewel Swiss movement, Incabloc shock protection, tested and
rergulated in 5 positions with an individual certificate that accompanies each
    watch.

    What did your certificate say?
    "So?"

Losing fifteen seconds a day doesn't seem great; especially for a 3000 dollar watch. I suppose it's a case of letting it run for a week and then a month without adjusting the time to see how it performs before jumping to conclusions. It may sort itself out and settle down, I suppose.

    hard to believe!!! sorry...

you didnt mention certificate with times for 5 positions, do you know there is such a paper? What your maximum range?

It is really rare... because they are all tested before they are shipped... nobody complain yet.... the accuracy, mine do +2 sec daily.

If you change the position that you are keeping it in when not on the wrist that may make a difference . Usually it will be losing in one position ,gaining in another .

By changing positions you should be able to get better accuracy .

I spoke with Aquadive and they said not to worry. The time is acceptable for an auto movement. I will try keeping the watch in a different position at night when I have it off as the +/- chart shows +5 in the crown down position as compared to -1 in the face up position I normally have it on my night stand. I love this watch and just wanted to know it is functioning properly.

Hi, just spoke to the representative you had on the phone, he said they will sure take care of you if there are any issues and that ever watch will settle down in a few months and will give better performance, he also told me it was 1 minute in 5-6 days, which is around 10-12 seconds per day. Your watch was tested according to the certificate supplied, this certificate shows the accuracy when the watch left the company, same as with COSC, which is done in a constant 23 degree environment and in constant positions. Daily usage implicates different temperatures of +/- 40 degrees and permanent movement and change of positions. This could be the reason for the difference you are observing.

Please try testing again under constant circumstances, same temp. same position for 42 hours.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please call aquadive again

    kind regards

True, many variables that can effect accuracy. To be honest, I've never timed mine as I don't wear it daily, and then the power reserve runs down. I also have no reason for synchronizing or to the second timekeeping with any of my watches. I have many watches, and rarely wear the same one for more than a day or two as I like to rotate them, and I don't use a watch winder either. So none of the movements in my watches get into any type of consistent rhythm. Packages traveling from overseas often get jostled about in transit (truck - to distribution hub - to plane - to distribution hub - and back to truck again), and often roughly, and that can often times effect accuracy as well.

Speaking of accuracy and the Bathy 300,

I use my accuracy certificate as my "cheat sheet" every night....if it's fast I'll rest it in position A, if it's slow I'll rest it in position B. By doing this my BS300 is always +/-2 seconds. I highly suggest looking at your "cheat sheet"...it really helps

exactly the same with mine... I rest in it crown up position for + or another position for minus. I adjusted it just once when I bought it and it is still not more than 30sec plus... I wear it every day at least 8 hours, 1-2 days per week I put it on the winder.
