I wish Rolex could have services like Ben of Aquadive...

I posted questions about the bezel of my used GMT and wrote to Ben for assistance.

His prompt and sincere replies made me a happy man today.

I will be waiting for a spare part from Ben but just couldn't wait to show my appreciation for him and Aquadive.

Will keep you posted for later development.

I posted this because I really want to thank Ben's tender care to customer's needs.

Got the spare part just two days, a ratchet ring that might replace my damaged one causing the bezel to turned freely in both directions.

However, though I managed to pop off the bezel, I was still unable to figure out how to remove the ring. After a thorough examination of the existing ring, I found the four "teeth" remain intact, just a little bit flattened. So I carefully lifted them up and install the bezel back. It works much better now. Having said so, my clumsy hands had already caused few scratches and bruises to the case. So officially it is mine forever as I wouldn't be selling it.

Lovely picture. Reflects the way this beautiful yellow GMT looks in real life.

I seem to have got exactly the same issue with my GMT. I've been contacting Aquadive via their service e-mail but after a week I haven't got a response yet. Hopefully they will contact me soon.

Since you described your issue as the teeth being flattened, I would like to have a look inside the bezel to see if I can fix it myself as well. Can you provide me with some insights how to open the bezel and point out what not to do to prevent scratching and denting.

    Much appreciated!

My advice is do not attempt to pop off the bezel yourself... Nothing good can come out of an inexperienced person working on an expensive fine piece. If you can afford an Aquadive, then you can afford to pay a watchmaker who has the know how and the proper tools for the job done right.
