I agree the 4.0 series is fantastic looking. I remember seeing these in dive centers in the 70's!

should I say you give him your watch and he knows a Watch Maker who does the work.

Nope... The only photos of a orange Rotary Aquadive I´ve seen is of your watch. If you ask me, the reson for this is that folks in commond didn´t think to much of the Rotary in the days when they started to look old... (in the 80/90´s) and just threw them away. But they didn´t throw away there "exclusive"/expensive Rolex Submariner - congrats mate... you might be the owner of a one of a kind piece... the Submariner owner is not (but they own a damn good watch.... among 10 000´s of others).

Ha, ha, ha... I don´t know you "scubasommer"... but your "seeings" in the 70´s leads me to that you are sliiiightly more than 20 years old
I´m from Sweden and work in the financial sector... and the pricetag for an Aquadive time-depth at 250 usd in the 70´s is like 1 400 usd today (a little problematic to compare USD vs Swedish crowns).... so the Aquadive mod 50 time-depth really keeps its value through time since they seem to cost approxemately usd 1 000 - 1 500 today

Very informative post. I wasn't aware of all the variations in colors. That black and orange one is nice!
