    Hmmm..

It has a bit of classic JLC feel to it. I like that

I don't think there will be Maurice Blum on the dial. I guess we have the freedom to specify it, as long as it's not something like Rolex
Don't know if it can be SeaGull though..

I am not familiar with the case lugs and it's position on the wrist, basicaly we have 3 types

How about semi seathrough caseback? A lot of space for engravings.

I'd like to propose some more details:

    1. As we have a moon-phase, and there's an idea at least 8 to be chinese, I think the numbers should not be 3,9,12, but 2,4,8,10,12, as 8 is chinese in red.
    2. Another way to have a red color is to make the moon red, with white stars.
    3. I also prefer the Sea-gull logo and brand, instead of 'Maurice Blum'. Very nice place for the brand and logo is the lower part of the moon-phase indicator. And beneath them to be 'WUS made'
    4. I still think the guilouche dial is better.

Unfortunately I'm not so familiar with a graphic design software and can't show what I mean. I'll try to make it in CAD to show the ideas.
I think its better that we find examples on the internet and post it here

    3. one of these

    I
    like this design

    W
e can keep the silver dial, hands and numbers in blue, 8 in chinese and red
Also we can use this half ring for moonphase with the "sea-gull" under it

I just tried to make some visual works to show my ideas:

    and the moon-phase area:

of course these crests are from the cursor, and they should not be there :), don't count them.

looks good minus the seagull logo... i don't think we have the rights to use it.

There seems to be a lot of different opinions on what makes a good watch - and everyone is right! So instead of talking about what makes a good looking watch, we should all focus on what makes a good looking CHINESE watch. So, the 1963 tianjin chinese air re-issue would be a good starting point for design cues.

    @miroman

Nice work, if it's possible to put the moonphase dial more up, in the inner circle, so that we have number 6 as well

no one sad anything about the rights for using the sea-gull name and logo, but there is no problem, we do not have to use 'em, if the factory forbids.

Any thoughts about having a more unique position for the complications? Something like this:

Obviously, a centered second hand would look best in this case.

Also, I liked the domed crystal idea - you know, that classic, retro look even if it has to be acrylic - and the "WUS Made" idea... that was pure genius!
