    Does the back come off?

My watch came today and there is a loose screw and the hold down bracket that are floating around inside the watch keeping the rotor from moving freely. Does the back unscrew? I can see where the screw is supposed to be. Seems like a simple fix rather than spend $40 and wait another 2 weeks round trip to Hong Kong.

If you got the right tool for it you can unscrew the back yourself or go to a local watchmaker.

    best regards,

If you don't want to buy a tool - those of us who work on homages as an amateur hobby tend to use the duct-tape-ball approach, which works perfectly fine for them. I'd be surprised if it didn't for this watch. Tear off a long piece of duct tape, apply directly to caseback for maximum stickyness, then wad up the rest to give you a handle. Turn counterclockwise to unscrew.

Do you have appropriate tools and are you comfortable with this sort work?

I agree with not wanting to spend 40 bucks to send the thing back for repair; especially after just spending 30 to get it shipped.
How about a local guy that may do it cheaper and quicker?

I was trying initially with the blue/green tool pictured above and also tried a ball and it wouldn't budge. After confirmation from Thomas I broke out the long handled case opener and it was on tight but finally budged. I fished out the screw and clamp and returned them to their proper home. I noticed while I was in there that the other screw was loose and took care of that ad the same time.

It's been on my wrist since and running fine.

    Thanks

So the front pops off? I've read on here that the groove at the top of the case is where you pop it open?

I'm dying to remove a couple specks of dust from the dial.
