One thing I have done is to swap the strap for a hand made black croc I had spare not because there is anything wrong with the original its just to preserve the watchuseek branded strap and buckle as I highly doubt I could ever get a replacement. I am considering a blue croc strap but don't know if it would be to much something like this what do people think ?

I had something like that in mind too but with contrasting stitching in white/off-white to match the dial.

Had no luck finding it though.

Thanks but I think it's discontinued. I saw it at Global one day but it wasn't on their site when I went to place an order a few days later. Then I went to Hirsh's site and didn't see it.

Edit: With a more thorough search, I found this: http://www.lonestarwatches.com/Merch...ct_Code=Modena

I already have something else to try on the watch (you'll have to wait 'till I get the watch to see it ) and I want to see what others come up with too, so maybe next month!

OK, I just received mine. Came yesterday and I wasn't home so I picked it up at the Post Office today. A few things come to mind:

    1. The dial is much nicer in person. The watch dial has a nice finish which has a little reflective or gloss quality to it. I have not seen a picture yet that does it justice in my opinion. Some are close but no dice.
    2. The recessed pushers are nice. No worry about inadvertently activating them.
    3. This is a fat little sucker. Maybe because there has to be room for the moonphase?
    4. Strap is fine. I will probably change mine out because I prefer deployment clasps.
    5. The box it comes in is probably the weakest feature which is fine for me. Less on the box and more on the watch I say.

Overall, I am extremely happy and was glad I was able to get in on this.

    No.14 turned up today :)

Posted 23rd. , left HK 24th. and with me in UK 27th.

A 'sorry not in' card on the doormat when I got home so had to queue in the rain at the local depot for my brown paper package tied up with string, well green paper with plastic cord. Noticed one end flap loose and over an airmail sticker, odd, packed like this or 'checked', antway all looks OK.

Agree, a little thicker than expected, indeed I got a milanese for this so may have to have a re-think.

    Many thanks to all !!!!
    Such a unique beauty.

    Hey guys,

Did anyone else opt for the cheapo registered airmail shipping option?
I received a confirmation email from Thomas for the Paypal payment on 19th April but I haven't heard anything since - not sure if there is any tracking with the airmail option, or how long it should take to get to the UK?

Starting to worry that I've been forgotten or that Thomas is posting them in numerical order. Where are you number 105???

    Thumbs Up #77 HAS LANDED!

Well, it was about four days with EMS, Hong Kong to Alaska. I was slammed at work, so no time for the "unboxing ritual" (not to mention that the first two posters set a bar that is way above my poor photography skills!) I'm sure we'll have plenty of those before this thread closes. Did have time to put it on and all I can say is, "happy, happy, happy". Size is just right, love the feel, look, presence, etc. etc. This has been a wonderful experience, and thanks to all who made it work.

On a practical note, three questions:

    (1) Could somone please post (or link to) a tutorial on how to set the moonphase?

    (2) What is the small pusher on the side of the case just below the crown?

    (3) Am I correct that there is no quickset for the date?

    Thanks again to all . . . . Name: moonphase.jpg
