Re: Forum Project Watch Unboxing Thread

I got my tracking number on Monday the 23rd. My iPad had a Canada Post Ap that includes tracking.

On Monday afternoon Thomas put my package in the mail and by late that evening, it was on its way to Canada.

This is how it goes, that must have been a very long flight.

Once customs let it go, it was a very quick trip to Edmonton

My wife works nights and had already gone to bed and I had to take my daughter to work for 9:30 and my dog to the park. I knew the package was coming though, so I waited and watched my postman as he made his deliveries 3 blocks away. It was an agonizing fifteen minutes but at last I had my package. I really wanted to tear into it right then but Sarah needed to go to her job and Eddy had to run and play with his dog friends. No my wife needs a ride to her guitar lesson so the unboxing will have to wait for a while. More to follow.

I couldn't resist tearing the package open at the dog park, that is why the paper looks so wrinkled in this ..... I rewrapped it for the dramatic effect.

that 011 signifies that this is indeed my watch.

    At last!

It was ticking away in the box, but I did have to set it. I failed to notice the push button that set the date so I ran it through fifteen days to get to 26. Moon phase set to day five of the lunar cycle.

    Crown

    buckle

    Back of the strap

Caseback with blue rotor and logo.

Number 011. First double digit prime number and also the first palindrome natural number.
Eleven is also the periodic number of Sodium which is of particular relevance if you are as familiar with Cystic Fibrosis as I Am.

My inscription. 时间在一个瓶子 translates to "Time In A Bottle", alluding to the song of the same title by Jim Croce. It sums up how my wife and I feel about each other.

and now the obligatory wrist shot.

This is a really nice watch. Thank you to everybody who made it happen.

Wow did this watch turn out nice!

I kind of wish I had saved up for one now.

I really regret selling the first Seagull I bought (55th anniversary edition).
Shut your mouth and wear your Alpinist.
Note that "Your Alpinist" is metaphorical and in truth refers to your most versatile watch.

Love the blue rotor. But still feel the dial is a bit "off" for my tastes
    Anyways, congrats on your watch
Looking forward to the next project

Re: Forum Project Watch Unboxing Thread

I have my watch turned up this morning number 36 sent via registered mail. will post a few pics when I have access to my camera but for now I can say it is really nice. Am I the first in the U.K ?

One thing I have done is to swap the strap for a hand made black croc I had spare not because there is anything wrong with the original its just to preserve the watchuseek branded strap and buckle as I highly doubt I could ever get a replacement. I am considering a blue croc strap but don't know if it would be to much something like this what do people think ?
