Yeah I know what you mean. I just don't want to worry about anything...getting lost, stolen, damaged in shipment etc. Anyone know how much it is to ship to China? I want a good deal to stay a good deal.

I'll post some pics later to get some of your opinions and I'll probably send to Thomas as well.

Well I live in the States, not sure where you are. The only option I had was to use Express mail so I got tracking with it. I think it cost me 38 dollars. I sent it Tuesday and was told it should arrive Monday. The upside is that Thomas said he would send it back using EMS. I had the same concerns as you with it getting lost in the mail but hey it got here once so it can get back a second time.

    Same...in Hawaii.

Tried calculating prices on USPS...Did you go with the Express Mail International Envelope? Or you send with your own packaging?

Well they (postal workers) told me I had two options, standard and express. I was told with standard that I had no tracking so I went with express. I purchased the box from USPS which cost me an extra 3 dollars. It was roughly 41 dollars when it was all said and done.

Sorry for the large pic. I circled the two blemishes. For the cloud, it looks more like an imperfection in the material. The other might be hard to see but it looks like a piece of plastic.

    I think I set my moonphase wrong...heh

Yes, I see what you are saying. I say if you think its something stuck inside the case then I would pay a watch maker to remove it and not ship it back. If you think its an imperfection then i would get it fixed. My general rule of law is if I can see it then someone else can see it.
The pleasure of owning automatics is leaving your favorite high end or favorite watch to someone. I would not want then looking at it and seeing any imperfections and thinking why did I not get it fixed. The watch is fine overall and so many happy and pleased people. I want to be one of those people also.

Good eyes you have got. I still do not see the second imperfection.
Hope mine will be ok, because there is no way i am sanding it back!

Of course I had to check #29. It has a raised spot on the edge of the 'cloud' (moon phase mask) in what seems like exactly the same location! So maybe it is an imperfection not cleaned up after stamping that mask, and all our watches have it?

Interesting...will others please chime in? What do you think, is it enough for you to get fixed or sent back?

For me, if it was just that spot I wouldn't mind. But I have an issue with the second problem. It doesn't show well in the picture but it is either an extra piece of plastic or a section that was cut short. It's definitely noticeable in person.

Am I being a nitpicker? I know it'll eat into Thomas' profits (if any) if he has to send back watches. Mechanically my watch is perfect

I took a magnifier to #42 and I don't see any "imperfection in the material", but I do see a couple of really small dark spots. Without a maginfier, I never would have noticed them and they're certainly not anything I'd complain about or send the watch back for.

Keep in mind the watch was very inexpensive; it's not a Patek.
