Yeah, I had to try it just to get it out my head. It does sit to high but it did not take away from the appeal of the watch or make it look less dressy. I perfer one of my watches on a bund, but it's smaller in height then this one. I know it's not for everyone but I love how (bunds) grips the wrist and distrubutes the weight of a watch.

    Re: Strappage

I have a few things in 20mm, so I tried them all:

Smooth, oil black with blue stitching from my SARB Cocktailtime:

Dark brown, croc grain from my Hammy openheart:

Lighter brown, croc grain from my SARB Alpinist:

Now for the one I got specifically for this watch. It's......

    Island Time!

I mean, who says it needs to be serious?

They're probably sick of hearing it, but I'd like to thank Ed, Martin, linsook, and Thomas one last time. The watch is awesome!

I also want to thank everyone involved with project; I've really enjoyed my time with you... almost as much as I enjoy the watch... almost...

I'm putting mine on a bracelet, so I'd be willing to part with my WUS strap. I listed it here.

    Re: Strappage

Colin, that works a whole lot better than I would have expected!

Of the other three more conventional choices, it is the most conventional one (black with blue stitching) that works best, IMHO. So perhaps the trick is, if deciding for something different, to go for something completely different.

BTW, does the 'watchuseek' signed buckle fit the Island Time strap?

    Re: Strappage

I think the strap in the OP looks pretty good. I like how it dressed the watch down.

^^ I agree. That's what I want to do as well, dress it down for casual wear.

And now for something completely different:

When I thought the dial was going to be just a bit off-white, I was thinking a strap to match the dial with contrasting blue stitching to match the hands and found that. That would be making a statement! It certainally would bring conversations about the watch... or my masculinity/sexual-orientation. At 65 bucks and a dial with a goldish tint (with the ray pattern I think of them as moonbeams ), I decided to pass.

    Re: Strappage

I like the OP's thick rustic strap, because I have found that a thick strap pairs well the thickness of a watch, and this is a thick watch. I also LOVE "Island Time" I currently have mine on an IWM shell cordovan "tobacco" strap that works for me - it is thick to match the watch, dark red-brown to highlight the dial, and smooth to feel a bit dressy. I bought this strap before the watch arrived, with intention to match it, and I am very happy with the pairing.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

So who'll be the first to rock it on a Nato/Zulu?

I'm hoping someone with synthetic sporty straps, Bradystraps, etc. will give it a try.

    True; I hadn't considered that.

And I like the contrasting stitching - especially in the full-light shot where the dial looks white!
