The only restriction I foresee is the budget or cost of the watch. I hope it is something most people will be able to afford, but that largely depends on the number and type of mechanical watch we all agree on. Since a lot of people already have the 1963 (in all of its various guises), it would be probably be better and more adventurous to go for something different.

Methinks you are jesting on the tourbillon Michael .....or it will be at most a limited edition 0/0 ......I definitely don't have the moohlah for one of those either!!!!

I would suggest that we steer away from tourbillons as some people like me won't have the money for it.

You can always be counted upon for good advice Ron! Hopefully other forum members will share their views and continue the momentum.

Is there such a thing as the quintessential Chinese watch? A well designed three hander would be at the top of my list, closely followed by the CNMark Moonphase prototype!!!

We have a professional watch designer in our midst who is willing to deal with all the design aspects of the project, so if anyone has any suggestions please fire away.

Hopefully we can agree on something most people will find affordable!

What would interest me would be a simple but elegant three hand watch with a white or cream dial, reasonable WR, about 40-42mm, auto or manual wind.

I like this but I would leave out the moon and go for SS instead of gold. Simple, elegant.

Just to chime in, I would be interested in a nice 'Wus' edition, of course depending on the final model/price.

This one in SS would be interesting if the price fits.

Re: WUS Chinese Mechanical Watch Special Edition

Is it possible for us to have the reissue of the first Chinese watch?

Sea-gull Wuxing, picture from the internet.

I love to have a simple 3 handers dress watch, no day/date, handwinding. I am not sure there are existing Sea-gull movements which will fit this specs so feel free to correct me.

    Regards,
    Indera
