    Need Information on Doxa Aquaman

    Hi everyone,
First time posting in the Doxa forum. I recently came across a used Doxa Aquaman for sale, and I really like the design (and price) of the watch. I've always loved the way that Doxa watches are designed, but most of the automatic models are out of my price range at the moment (maybe in the future). However, I can't seem to find the watch on the Doxa website, or any review of the watch anywhere. Is this a good watch to buy? Does it have a sapphire crystal? Can I buy it brand new or has it been discontinued?

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

For the money (they go cheap, nowadays), I think these are sharp watches.
My advice? Buy one and enjoy the heck out of it!

    Of course not, silly!

The Aquaman wears a bit big. The steel bracelet actually requires a little more wrist because it only flexes so much, unlike the Beads of Rice which in my opinion is the best bracelet ever. It is a handsome piece and my 15 year old son owns one(6.0 inch wrist). He wears his on rubber only. If he gets a bit thicker in the wrist, the metal bracelet will fit. I personally love it. We bought his through the website, but they are not currently available that way to the best of my knowledge. I know I have seen them on WUS sales forum before. You can also try EBAY. I see them on there all the time. I like it. I personally only wear automatics (except 1) because I despise changing batteries and well I guess because I am fortunate enough to be able to.

It is well worth the investment. And wearing a DOXA is worth every penny.

There is a regular seller from Rumania (Roumania) on the other big watch forum who has them fairly often

I really recomend the watch if you get it at a nice price. I has sapphire crystal, screwd crown and caseback. But get it on rubber,is very very nice. You can find the strap on Doxa website.Too bad they didn't put a nicer quartz movement.
Currently i'm making my way to a SUB (for now it's a lot over my budget :( ) but i love those timepieces,in reality are STUNING !

If you want any other info's don't hesitate.

I recently bought one off "the bay" and just came back from a snorkeling vacation in Greece. The Aquaman did well, but you better ditch the stiff bracelet right wehen you get it and wear it on a rubber strap or, like I did, on a NAT strap.

Great watch for the money. But a SUB is something else...

I find it very comfortable as well. I do see how the stiffness of the bracelet could make it uncomfortable for someone with smaller wrists.
