Help with a Ceramic Watch for Fiance.

As my fiance and I were out browsing at watches, or I should say while I was browsing at watches and she was looking at jewelry I talked her into trying on a watch. I figure if I can get her interested maybe some of my addition/purchases will be justifiable, LOL. Well anyway, I had her try on a Rado True Jubilee and she really really liked it. Now I would like to find an affordable alternative to the $1000 quartz Rado. She knows nothing of watches so brands and swiss movements don't make much difference to her. She just liked the dial of the Rado and that it was made of white ceramic. The ceramic is a must cause she deals with special needs kids all day everyday and the watch will see some abuse. Below is a picture of the watch she liked. If you could help I would really appreciate it.

There was this thread on ceramic watches recently, it has some good ideas.

    GF wants a ceramic

However, from a WIS point of view, if she has an expensive watch then she shouldn't say anything if you happen to get a new watch. Or two. ;o)

Last year I got my wife a ceramic Accutron from the Mirador collection.
She wasn't sure she liked it at first, but now she absolutely loves it. Hardly ever takes it off. Gets lots of complements!
They don't make that model 65R13 anymore, but I think the 65R137 is the new version.

And yes, it will buy you some grace to add a couple more watches to your own collection!

I've seen this and it's very close. I just wish I could see it in person to see how the fit and finish compared to the rado

IMHO.....I think the Skagen is a good solid entry into the world of watches. 18 great reviews. Solid Amazon return policy. Go for it. You'd be comparing two totally different price point watches side by side with Rado so not sure how helpful that will be. Skagen is excellent quality and durability. Different model no. to look at also, not sure the difference except 2 numerals added.

Amazon.com: Skagen Women's SK817SSXC Ceramic White Dial Watch: Skagen: Watches

If successful for a $100 gamble which you can still return, then work on the Rado. Watch styles change so often that if she saw something and REALLY liked it and tried it, then it might disappear and be really hard to find later. Good luck!
