    suggestions for watch for wife

For mother's day my wife asked for a two tone watch to wear to work. Several years ago I bought her a cartier roadster which she adores but finds it too "fancy" for work. Whatever.

Given that she finds the cartier too fancy, I'd like to keep the cost 1000 dollars and below. She wants it two tone and a bracelet. From past experience, it needs to have arabic numerals at every position (no dots or dashes to mark the hours) and I think she would prefer a round or oval dial. Can't be oversized; more of a classic simple look. Definitely quartz.

I saw a model or two from citizen and seiko which fit the bill. I'd prefer not to get her a strictly fashion watch such as michael kors.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks and much appreciated.

Tissot! The PRC100 Quartz, model T049.210.22.032.00, is quartz, round-dialed with Arabic numerals at 11 spots (with a date window replacing the 3), and under $500.

Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Seiko or Citizen.

Baume & Mercier Linea has several different options that are nice. They have a pretty cool quick change strap system ... will give you follow on holiday gift options
A little over your target but the quartz might be close to $1000.

Victorinox makes a nice one for about $350

    Model 241459

If she can deal with Roman numerals instead, Raymond Weil also makes a nice one for about $500

    Model 5390-stp-00308

Really like this suggestion. I know you said round case but if she's open to square I tried on the Hampton from Baume & Mercier and it was really nice.

Also Longines may have something she'd like.
