    Watch for the wife...

I have decided that it is high time that my wife get a decent watch. I have narrowed it down to a used Bathys Lunar or once of two Deep Blues. I think the Lunar is my first choice, but don't know if I can find one used by the time I want to give this to her in a couple weeks. The other two that I am looking at are linked to below. I really like Tritium lighting, and the overall style of the tritium watch is probably more to her liking, except the crystals in the bezel and crown. Those might be over the top for her. The regular dive watch is nice and has a more classic design, but doesn't have the nice pink mother of pearl that I think she would like. Of course it is also missing the tritium! Any thoughts? Any other options out there that I should be looking at for around the $300 price range? It needs to be a little girly but not too much so, and it needs to be very sturdy as she spends all day chasing after out two kids and will destroy any delicate watch (or not wear it for fear of destroying it).

    Thanks!

    Jacob

Traser and Luminox have some nice looking ladies' sport/dive watches with tritium tube illumination (even a couple with MOP dials), but they're a little over your $300 limit:

    Might be worth looking at...

MOP Deep Blue is stunning. I would not worry about the chips - I think that will be a sturdy watch to withstand the kids. It is also very versatile. I can see it with jeans and a dress. If she wears a lot of pastels it'll go with many things. Any watch with a colored face may have outfit pairing challenges, but it is a soft color, MOP is stunning and multicolored and "girly" for sure. Prime for summer wear now. I am sure the lume is outstanding also even w/o the tritium. I would not like the orange tritium in the blue Deep Blue.

I wanna see wrist shots of whatever you give. Lucky lady!

In the end I went with a new Bathys Luna. Although I think she would love the MOP dials from Deep Blue, I decided the overall look of the Bathys works best. Now I have to decide if I should have her open it on mothers day, or wait until I am back home (I am overseas for another couple weeks).

She opened on mothers day. she seems to like it.

I am happy I went with the Bathys, she loves the moon phase feature.
