Need Some Help With A WorldTimer

    Hello everyone,

I have a chance to acquire a FC-718NWM4H6 WorldTimer for 1100 USD. Here is where I am stuck...I don't know much about FC but I feel this is a good deal. Watch appears brand new. Looking for your help on a few things -

    1) Is this a good deal?
    2) Does the box look correct (I cant seem to find other FC boxes that look the same on the net)
    3) If I want to flip this watch, will I be able to capitalize on this seemingly good deal (at least a bit)
    4) Could this be a fake (I really don't think so, but FC isn't my forte)
    5) Strap appears black but in all the pics I see on the net, its blue??

I'm actually on the hunt for another watch and came across this one...

    Thanks for your help!
    Paul

    Hi

I can not help you with the specs and if this watch is real or not. The price seems too good to be true. Right now, the cheapest (Gray market, without manufacturer warranty) is around $2100. Jomashop has it at over 2500. So you are almost half that! If it is genuine, it is a fantastic deal.

    Good Luck

    Thanks Tony,

It's being sold by a reputable auction house. I'm just concerned (probably needlessly) that it's fake. The strap isn't consistent with what I've compared it with online and I haven't seen a similar box. In the process to see if it has papers.

I have this watch - only in the silver dial. It is a fantastic piece, and asked about more than both of my Tag GC's combined.

From the pictures, it looks real to me. And at that price, I can tell you - BUY IT NOW! FC's aren't faked much, so chances are it's a real piece. FC did just get bought out by Citizen, so I have seen the prices drop as a result of that - but not on the WorldTimer. So, take that into consideration, but if it were me, I'd order this example without hesitation

All the blue dials I have seen have also been on the Navy Strap. The white/Silver dial comes with the black. As for the box, I have seen some wooden boxes for higher priced FC, but not that you have in the photo. It is possible that is a box for this style.

I am sure others who know more than me can chip in more!

If the seller is legit, and offers return in case it turns out to be fake, you can buy, have it verified and worst come to worst return it.

    Cheers and good luck

The box is identical to mine (bought from an AD) - as far as I can tell from the photos he posted. Also, you can easily get different straps with your watch. Mine came with the SS bracelet, which looked too plain, so I negotiated in the purchase an additional blue croc, which is absolutely perfect for the silver dial piece.

It is a great piece, especially for that price. I prefer the white dial with the map that I have though.

In any case, buy the watch only if you like it, not because you hope you will make some money out of it.

I also like the white dial. Those blue arms look so nice against the white background. I am on a quest to find one that is previously loved.
