Clé de Cartier on my small wrist

I'm looking for some opinions from fellow watch enthusiasts.
My wrist is very skinny - 15cm / 6inch and I thought the Clé de Cartier in 40mm must be too big to fit me, as usually the maximum i can wear is 38mm. But i was surprised a few days ago when i the sales assistant brought me both sizes the 35mm and the 40mm. The 40mm does seem to fit pretty good. It does not look too big on me. In comparison to the bigger model the 35mm does look a little feminine.
I took some pictures and would like ask for some opinions whether the 40mm or 35mm does fit better.

Nice watch.. I think you could pull of the larger one. The smaller one looks better on the photos you provided but how does it feel in real life. Wrist shots tend to magnify the Watch relative to your wrist

Due to the really small lugs the 40mm looks perfect imho! Go for it.

I say go with there's 40mm, looks great on you.

Cushion cases tend to wear smaller due to the shorter lug to lug, so I don't think the 40mm looks big at all.

My wrist is about the same size as yours, and I wear the 42mm Explorer II quite nicely.

    34mm

    42mm

Vs my son's 42mm cushion case Hamilton

    Amazing watch!

The 40mm suits you perfectly, plus I think it has better overall proportions compared to the 35mm model.

    Enjoy

40mm looks good. Also perhaps consider a leather band if you end up purchasing that size. You may find that leather is more comfortable than the bracelet.

To be honest the round cases of both the 40 and 35 appears to conflict with the straight angular shape of your wrist. Have you considered a square or rectangular model that might complement your wrist?
Perhaps the Tank Francaise (photo) or maybe the Tank Anglaise or even a Tortue if you want to introduce a curved case shape?

Personally I like the 35mm - it looks a bit more well proportioned IMO. At the end of the day, pick the one that you like more :) Enjoy
