NEW GMT FROM U-BOAT

At Baselworld 2012 U-Boat Italo Fontana launched the GMT novelty and evolution of the original U-42, a great example of design purity with strong timeless and recognized identity.

Based on a watch developed by Italo Fontana’s grandfather in 1942 for the Italian Navy, the original U-42 was presented, for the first time, at Baselworld 2010 and followed by two chrono versions in 2011. The NEW version is the U-42 GMT.

U-42 GMT features:
* 3 time zone
* Case, Back case, bezel in titanium.
* Sapphire glass.
* Brass dial, black.
* Brass hands.
Diameter 53 mm. Water-resistance and press-resistance 300 meters. Limited edition: 300 units

MOVEMENT: automatic mechanical modified and personalized to U-BOAT specifications for date display and stem position at 9 o’clock. Power reserve 48 hours.
FUNCTIONS:
Display by means of hands: Hours, minutes, seconds. 24 hour hand with time–zones mechanism. Date display in window
STRAP: brown leather handcrafted, width 23/23, and fitted with a titanium tongue buckle. Strap with plate in titanium with tag for personalization.
