Lightbulb My new TWCO incl. kind of review :)

(excuse for my poor english, I'll do my best)

Today was the day, I went to Robbert Suurland to pick up my TWCO watch

/edit: lume shot added in the third post

Robbert and I had an appointment at 2 o'clock, I left at 18.30
I had a very nice welcome incl. apple pie (very very tasty!!) incl. coffee and one beer
@Robbert (and parents): again, many thanks!!
We talked about everything..and yes, also about watches :)
I promised that I would take my SAWC (pre spanish TWCO), so Robbert could see the early brother of his TWCO brand.

After the coffee I opened the box with my TWCO watch and is was the TWCO looks very solid and was quite heavy.
For example: my Tag Heuer Aquaracer Cal.5 is (excl. some links to fit my wrist) 188 gram, the TWCO with the full metal strap is 231 gram, excl. 2 links to fit my wrist it is 220 gram!

This is not a watch that you will give to your lady

Well, we go further..this TWCO has slightly curved saphire glass, I didn't expect this!
The saphire has an AR coating on the inside.
This watch has also a diver extension, very nice but I will never use it..I don't dive.
Then the bright side of this watch: the lume is very good, with this lume you can read the local newspaper in the dark

    Robbert told me also:
The lugs has3 holes for the pins.
With these 3 holes (no he didn't drill too much holes) you can switch straps.
The original metal and rubber straps fit perfectly to the watch case, but an aftermarket strap will not fit perfectly.
With 3 pinholes you can adjust the aftermarket strap perfect tot the watch case.
A very nice option for the people who switch alot of straps

Robbert has nothing with quartz movements, the future watches will come with mechanical movements

For the dutch people: this tuesday (18/12) Robbert will apear in "de Telegraaf" (a dutch newspaper).
Every week they have one page for young entrepeneurs, this week: Robbert Suurland.

    My opinion about the TWCO:
solid, value for money , fits the wrist/feels good, automatic movement is always , good looks, fine details are oke..ME LIKE

You can buy this new dutch TWCO watch with confidence!!

Last but not least: the specs and some pics in random order..not the best quality but it gives you an idea!
If you want to see good pics: go to the TWCO website, www.twcowatches.com

Hmmmm .... appeltaart, coffee and a new watch - can't beat that

Your new TWCO looks great. Grand too; a little too much for my slim wrists, unfortunately.

Is it possible for you to post a link to the Telegraaf article or post a scan / image / pdf of the same (here or in Kaliber 2010)? Many thanks in advance.

    Congratulations, Popma.

PS - no need to apologize for your English; not poor at all - in fact, much better than most readers' Dutch

I've got small (slim?) wrists also, but the watch fits great!
    No problem at all :)

Here is the "Telegraaf" article about Robbert Suurland/TWCO
It's in dutch, maybe Mhe225 can translate this for the non-dutch visitors? @Mhe225: your english is better than mine.. ;) )

Thanks for posting. I am not sure if it just me but the lume shot does not appear to be functional.

    Cheers
