    ETA 3836-2 Loud Clicking

    Hello,
First of all sorry if Watchmaking isn't the right place to post this thread.

I've bought a Tissot Visodate with the ETA 3836-2 movement about a month ago, and in the past weeks it has started to develop a loud clicking sound that can be heard at every full rotor spin and every quarter or so of a crown spin when manual winding.

What do you think is the issue? The sound is louder when the watch hasn't been worn for a while, and gets quieter as it winds, but not by much.

Thanks for reading and any help is appreciated.

    It's a 2836-2. I misspelled the number.

    ETA 3836-2 Loud Clicking

How loud? I've heard this clicking on the 2836 before, participated in a thread about it at some point. My Hamilton Khaki Aviator did this. Never had any issues beyond the noise, but it wasn't very loud. Loud enough to hear and record, though.

Edit: here's the thread, though you won't find any help there I'm afraid.

    Hamilton H64715535 "clicking" noise.

I repaired a Tissot 2461 last year that had that clicking sound when winding . Could be something loose in winding mechanism .
In my case it was a worn/ broken tooth on the ratchet wheel and the click was jumping.

It's loud enough that I can hear it clicking on my wrist while walking. Even my desk mate asked me why is my watch clicking.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like a something is broken.

Should I send the watch for warranty? Does anyone have any experience with jomashop's warranty?

If you have a warranty...and have a problem or suspected problem...use the warranty.
If you question the quality of warranty coverage, what is the point of buying a watch with a warranty?
Jomashop has been around a while...I would imagine you checked reviews before buying?
As for the problem...no point in speculating on the possibilities...send it in...
    Good luck, BG
