    Wow, I've never seen anything like that! Maybe a reaction to a highly ammoniated cleaning solution that took time to proliferate?

    Will say that I'm a fan of Felsa, they had some real beast runner movements and interesting ideas.

    Had another look at the pics, reminds me a bit of sulfate like on old motor battery plates. Under certain conditions they swell up enough to burst the casing too. Just a thought... to Rolands description,

    "The lead inlay of the rotor has completely turned to white powder (likely hydroxide) and its grown volume blasted the side wall of the rotor away."

    Must have been exposed to some heavy g-forces. Golf, tennis etc?!
