    Fitting Omega Crown to Stem

I'm trying to replace the crown on an Omega 198.0054 case.

The watch was bought in need of much repair and did not come with a crown.

The old stem in the watch movement has a threaded end but the replacement crown has a split pin type female end.

I can't see how the crown can screw on so I'm sure I've got somethinge wrong here.

Is another part required or could it be that the stem that came with the watch is not correct for the case?

The crown fits the case and I am sure it is the correct part (069ST43248)

This is my first time posting here. Hopefully this is a basic/simple question but I've had no luck searching for an answer. No doubt it is swamped by other crown/stem posts.

    Hello putin,

Try to put the split end in a pin vise, unscrew the crown, screw it back onto the classic stem.
