GSAR Bezel Insert Measurements?

Does anyone have the exact internal and external diameters and thickness of a GSAR bezel insert handy? I'm looking to mod mine with a 12hr bezel and am thinking I may be able to use one from a Tuna as mentioned in THIS THREAD, but want to make certain since the pics are gone.

I have done some additional research and I have found several reports that the Seiko SZX007 bezel can easily be made to fit. I ordered three to try out. If they don't I'll just have to buy some compatible Seiko watches. Apparently, the bezel dimension is not unique to the '007.

There is some discussion about this in the dive forum. A couple folks have been able to install 007 inserts. Apparently the OEM insert is a challenge to remove.

I installed a 007 insert into my GSAR. I had to do a tiny bit of sanding on the inside radius to get it to fit but you would never know it by looking.

Removing the insert is difficult, essentially you have to drill through the top of it and then pry it off with a thin bladed screw driver. My insert was pretty worn so it was worth it, but keep in mind there is no going back.

Good to hear. I ordered a few 007 12-hour inserts from Dagaz Watch and I am going to have MWWC install one along with doing some other work on my very well used GSAR.

I just got my SAR-D back from James at MWWC and he did an awesome job with it. I opted to keep the original finish, although his powder blast finish looks pretty darn good. James regulated it mercilessly, removed the cyclops, and installed a new bezel insert and it's back and good as ever.

I am on the fence with the finish. The powder blast from MWWC is intriguing but it looks a little too dull and ablated; I wish I could see it in person. I am liking the Hi-Light or Low-Light bead blasting finish that Motor City WatchWorks offers, especially their description of 'liquid metal.'

Well, I did it. I sent my watch to James for repair of the bezel ratchet detent, hour hand tube reinstallation, powder (bead) blasting of the case and bracelet and installation of a 12-hour '007 bezel. Hopefully, it will be back to me before the holiday. Pictures to follow, of course.
