help with broken dial post.. need to remove it from movement

can anyone suggest a better option for me here than the pliers and snips i've been trying? I'm afraid I'm going to break it off flush.. the other side was broken off as well, but the pliers worked to get it out as it was taller.

i know it looks like a lot of pin sticking out, but it ain't. also, is that hole next to it some sort of release hole? i can see the post in there, but don't see anything to push on to release it.

    any advice appreciated.

    p.s.. it's an omega 1022 movement.

Assuming you have removed the dial screw you may wish to:

add chemical, rotational, thermal or shock treatment to the remainder of the dial foot

mount the movement in an appropriate holder

push the residue out of the movement from the opposite side with pegwood or other pusher as you seem reluctant to pluck the exposed portion from the plate.

ahh.. the dial screw? this is a redialed seamaster i bought off of ebay some time ago. i found the correct nos dial and thought i'd try to change it out myself when i hit this. the old dial was glued to a spacer with no posts whatsoever. once i get this out, i'll need to source some screws for this. thank you for your assistance!

ok, got the pin out. having trouble sourcing the dial feet screws. any suggestions there? it's a 1022 omega movement. i believe the previous owner (or repair shop) had super glued the feet in. they were broken off and the dial spacer was glued to the dial and to the movement. yikes.

Screws you need are part #72200002347. Might also just be listed as 2347, so search on that with various suppliers.
