How would you remove this glued incabloc setting?

I am doing the same interesting russian watch, I noticed both incabloc settings seemed to be glued in. I am not sure what substances are on the spring and the cap jewel. I have scraped it with a peg wood and then a screw driver. A little came off, but doesn't help much. Very interestingly I have to mention, one side of the spring was broken for both dial up and down incabloc. And they seemed to use some substance (glue?) to fix the incabloc in the setting. My question is how do you remove it ?

Scrap it further (and harder) with the peg wood and a little acetone on it? I didn't really want to use anymore force as I am afraid I will break the pivot.
I don't think benzene or kerosene works, have not tried it yet though.

Somebody has done a caveman job. I would go ahead and use super glue or epoxy remover on it.

You might want to remove the balance from the cock. If you don't, even gentle scraping is likely to distort the pivots.

I'm almost sure it can, but didn't try personally.

Heat will break down superglue. Try heating it gently with the tip of a solder iron. Beware of the fumes, they are toxic!

As others say, remove the balance first.

Acetone is one of the key components in most fingernail polish remover, which works great to also remove super glue. I use super glue when making parts as a substitute for shellac sometimes and i use acetone all the time for this very purpose.

I wouldn't agree with this statement. At least in EU most fingernail polish removers are acetone free.
Instead of acetone there is ethyl acetate as a solvent.
Type of nail polish remover may be distinguished by smell.

    your "local" chemist

PS - in fact nobody stated that Incabloc in question is glued with cyanoacrylate adhesive.
What if it is epoxy resin ? Answer on request.

I wouldn't really know honestly, i usually just buy pure acetone nail polish remover for this purpose, i don't look around for different nail polishes. I would have figured that acetone would be the most common but i guess it could be different depending on geographical differences.

Watchknight, have you managed to remove this yet?
