I want to make sure I poke at the right one

Just got my "Pete Malloy Adam-12" vintage Sheffield Allsport and it's running a little slow. Behold the beautiful one jewel movement! Which one adjusts time? I want to make sure I don't mess this beauty up.

The arm that has two brass circles on top of it. Additionally you can see the hairspring being on both sides of the arm. When you look from the side you should see the hairspring living between two brass regulator studs. Shorten the active hairspring to gain time and lengthen it to loose time.

which direction? If I'm seeing it correctly it looks like it's pushed about as far as it can go to speed it up.

To shorten the active length of the hairspring in the above picture it would be a clockwise movement.

Of course it may be running slow cos it needs a service.

Never rally understood why you would put only one jewel in, if you're going to jewel it, at least put in two!

Oh, and please dont slip when adjusting and trash the hairspring. That would be a disaster.
