Forgive me if this is the incorrect forum for this question. Mods, please don't hesitate to move it if that's the case.

I had a Miyota OS20 movement die on me so I bought a replacement. I got the hands and face and everything attached to the movement successfully, but for the life of me I can not get the crown back in properly. I removed it safely but when I attempt to insert it back in, it clicks into place but it seems to be stuck in the hand setting position (position 3). Once it's clicked into place it will only move the hands and I can do nothing else. I can't move it to the date setting position (position 2) or the normal position (position 1). Is there some trick that I'm missing? I've done a lot of googling but I am having trouble finding anyone who has had the same issues as me.
