Attached image of Omega Electroquartz which found its way to my bench. Can anyone translate (preferably into English) what is written in the case back in the image below?
This specimen has suffered "creative ingenuity"...don't have the correct caseback gasket?...deform an o-ring and glue it in. The original gasket had obviously deteriorated into goo...as parts of it were still adhering to various places in the movement...including the index wheel and stones.
Despite that, upon receipt, the movement was running...and at least in stationary positions with an accuracy of +1 s/month.
And now for the second question...if you have actually serviced a Beta 21, please reply in the affirmative...just curious to see how many of our member have experience with complete service of this caliber?
Also attached image of the index wheel as received. Note the black crud which has accumulated on the index/pawl stones. There are also bends in the fingers resulting in excessive tension with the index wheel...possibly a strategy to deal with the goo?
