    Watchmakers et al: Quartz watch with crown out - to what extent is the cell energy preserved?...

    ...Is the extent of saving worth having to set time whenever I wear the watch.

    That may depend on the watch, and if pulling out the crown actually interrupts the whole circuit or just the stepper motor.

    I guess you have to divide the cost of battery replacement by the amount of effort required to set the time each time you want to wear the watch, and then multiply that factor by the average expectancy of the battery.
