I can't tell, so the expert's opinion would be crucial!

    Thanks a lot!

Do you own this watch?? What makes you say it's a fake??

Have a look at this... http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...42766#poststop

The dial on your pics looks ok....I'm not immediately seeing any obvious flaws in it (someone else might?) but the date doesn't seem to fit the window very well, and compared to the pic in the link, the crown is different, as is the caseback........engraved as opposed to see-through, and not sure they produced one with that colour dial??

So yes, I'd have to say this isn't an original!!

I found it for a really low price without a word about the watch - and I didn't found this model anywhere. But you found it - it's one beautiful watch.

I was also scared of the date + engraving on the caseback is pretty shallow. But maybe it's a different model ?

    What do you say?

Any confirmation on real or fake? I didn't realize counterfeits were so prevalent until today. (Unfortunately, I got the watch yesterday... )

I intentionally stopped the chrono second hand at the 9:00 position so the name lettering could be better seen. The 1/10th second hand does work; I just caught it right at the zero time when I stopped the timer hand.

Any help (one way or the other) would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    John

Off ebay. I don't typically buy watches off ebay, at least nothing higher-end than orients or occationally old vintage stuff, but the seller had a 100% positive history, so I did this time.

The model number claimed is T17.1.486.55. In the little pre-purchase checking I did, they typically run $250-$300 at jomashop & such, so this one at $213 seemed like a good price without being "too" good.

Is there a way to confirm authenticity for certain? Thanks

Compare it to another model perhaps, but probably the best way would be to take it into an AD and get them to check it out!!

Does anyone know if e-bay seller Timeparadise is a trustworthy one? At the autctions they state that their watches are 100% authentic, but i know that tissot does not sell through the internet.

    Hello John,

I'm not a watch guru, but by comparing it to my PRS 200, it could be fake.

I own a PRS200 bought from AD in Austria. I know it could be in better shape.. owned it for 10 years now.

Here are the pics. The back logo just seems a bit more complex on my watch, on the strap PRS 200 - the zeros are not perfectly round. The 350 mark is not on the same position, and in general all letters seem a bit thicker.

    I hope I'm wrong here..
