How to spot a fake Tissot

I just bought the same watch from the same guy. So.....I would like to know as well. Can anybody say if they are fake or not? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

just spotted this on ebay while browsing around... fake Tissot TXL chrono
TXL in post 36 is little different, this seems to have even worse dial, silver chrono hands instead of black etc.

I purchased a watch from this fella, After reading about the fakes in here im a little sceptic about the watch being from China. Should I be scared???

No not yet, How about you? Once I get the watch I will post some pics to see if anyone here can tell me if its real or fake. Its for a great price and the guy seems to have plenty of positive feed back on hes watches.
The thing that scares me most is the price and from china. But I guess not everything from China is fake ;).....

Well....I just received my watch today. The shipping was good and carefully packed. The box looks great and authentic. The watch also looks good, but I have just one concern with the lume at the 12:00 position. It is just not a perfect circle, it looks like it overfilled the circle a little bit. Also, the band feels a little stiff to me. Not as smooth when you move it like I remember in the jewelry store. So that's about all of my concerns really. Overall the watch looks pretty good. If feels heavy, it lights up in all the right places when I turn out the lights. I'm wondering if these just didn't make it through the quality control department and was sold at a steep discount for some minor flaws. (just a thought)

I also took it to the jewelry store and they said that it was probably authentic.....however the only real way to verify was to send it in to Tissot and have them take a look. (obviously, I'm not going to do that)

So.....I am about 98% sure that I have an authentic Tissot watch. (and trust me, that 2% of not knowing is killing me!)

I would never buy a Tissot like this again. Live and learn.

Ok I finally got my watch today, It was very well packed I have a strong feeling that the watch is the real deal.
I guess I am concerned about the price I payed $260au, I have been to many jewellers to look at the watch and cannot get it under 500...
I have taken some photos to see if some of you tissot gurus can try and confirm that shes aunthentic, And also put Sirduckys mide at ease.....










Not to mention the wife is very very happy with it...

this is a Tissot That I purchased and am trying to find out if it is genuine or not. i have owned several,several Tissots and have always been very proud and happy of them but this one has me scarred. give me your feedback,lol.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A TISSOT PR100 AND AM VERY CONCERNED AS TO IT'S AUTHENTICITY. ON THE FACE OF THE WATCH IT SAYS PR100 AND UNDER THAT IT SAYS SAPHIR AND NOT SAPPHIRE. ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FACE IT SAYS SWISS AND NOT SWISS MADE. THE BACK OF THE WATCH HAS BEEN REMOVED SO AS TO SEE THE MECHANICAL GUTS AND WHAT YOU SEE IS A CIRCUIT BOARD AND NOT THE USUAL GEARS. I AM VERY CONFUSED AND CONCERNED IN REGARDS TO IT BEING A HOOK. IF YOU CAN HELP IN LETTING ME KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL I WOULD BE GRATEFUL. Thank you QF6228 ( Damien ), for taking the time to post up some pics of your new watch. I'm glad that you think it is authentic, it makes me feel a little better about my purchase.

I sent a message to the guy on ebay that I purchase my watch from, and let him know of my concerns. He responded within just a few hours, and said I was more than welcome to take it to Tissot dealer and have it checked out. Also, if there was anything wrong with the watch he would be glad to compensate me for it, or lastly if I wasn't 100% satisfied with the watch to send it back to him for a refund. Wow.....talk about great customer service. So.....between his response, and yours....I think I/we got ourselves a pretty nice watch. Cool! It looks like there might be some good deals on the bay in a sea of bad sellers.

Please...anyone feel free to chime in on QF6228's pictures.

Took me a long time and a lot of cross checking, but this is certainly a copy, albeit a very good one! The faults lie with the hands and the dial. They're obviously trying to copy the look of a carbon fibre dial by replicating it with a zig zag pattern. Also, the hands on the real deal have a visible border around the white section. This is the lume

Plus if you were unlucky enough to end up with one of these, I could almost guarantee touching the glass would do diddily squat!!

Never fear T Touch lovers! I did a bit more research into fake T Touch Expert watches. If you go to this link http://www.watchestrade.com/Tissot-T...204420100.html you will see the picture of the supposed "fake" but I found it to be the identical photo on the Tissot web page complete with the same time and altitude. Then I sent them an email asking the difference between the real thing etc and they sent me back the genuine fake pictures saying there is little difference!! Ha I want one of these for a laugh LOL!! I hope I can attach the real fake pictures to this post... Then you can compare them to the URL above and let me know what you think...
