    PRS 516 replacement braclet

Alright I really like the look of this watch.

    Amazon.com: Tissot Men's PRS516 watch #T0214142605100: Tissot: Watches

However I think I'd like to wear it on a bracelet like on this PRS 516

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

First, would the braclet on the second watch fit the first one? Second where can I order a replacement bracelet. Thanks for the help!

Buying a genuine Tissot bracelet is likely to be more expensive than you might think. It would probably run over $100.

Back when the Seastar 1000 was introduced, the black dial was only available on a strap. There were a couple of WUS members who bought a black dial/strap and a blue dial/bracelet, swapped things around then sold off the blue dial/strap combo.

You would probably have better luck looking for an aftermarket bracelet that is close to the one you like. Look for one with squared off endlinks to match the lug opening.

    Good luck!

    Re: PRS 516 replacement braclet

I'm awar it would cost over $100. My main concern is the bracelet fitting flush against the case which will probably not be possible with a non Tissot bracelet. I emailed Tissot and the quoted me $140 for a replacement bracelet but claimed it would not fit. I don't know why it would fit myself and think they may have just said that to be on the safe side. Is there any significant difference between the cases of the chronograph and non chronograph versions?

It looks like the case thickness is probably causing the difficulty in fitting the bracelet.

This is truly the worst bracelet I have ever had to try to attach to a case.
Spent forever on it today before having someone else working on it before they lost the second springbar in a ricochet across the store.

Buy it on bracelet or strap and keep it that way.

Admittedly it is a touch harder than most but eventually you should be able to work out a technique. Have a look at the differences in the case sizes (thickness in particular) on the Tissot website. If there is none than I don't see why it shouldn't fit. Somehow I think the chrono may be thicker though. They usually are...
