    Tissot T-Touch Expert Advice.

    Hi all,

I am looking at buying a new watch and I am interested in the Tissot T-Touch Expert. Now im Ex-military and I still like to get out and about in the woods etc but I dont like the look of most of the ABC watches, I find them too plasticy and they just don't appeal to me.

What I would like to know is, how much can one of these watches take? Because they are the best part of £600 I want to get my moneys worth but I have read mixed reviews about them but the brand appeals to me due to its heritage.

I am going to wear it for day to day use but then also when im out walking, kayaking, mountain biking and general boys stuff.

Also I was wondering about straps. I really like the brown leather but I know that if I go leather that I am opening my self up to tearing and tarnishing the leather. I know the sensible choice is just go Titanium but im not a fan of metal straps.

    Any advice would be helpful.

I am well keen on Tissot but with this kind of money I don't want to make a mistake and choose the wrong watch.

    Thanks for your time,

    Pete

Don't know what you mean by "how much can one of these watches take?" What I can say is that after buying a T-Touch Expert used on the WUS forum, I sold almost all of my other mechanical watches. I wear the T-Touch almost every day during all sorts of activities and it's my favorite watch. Buy one lightly used in the WUS forum and save a few hundred quid.

Too many watches, only two wrists and never enough time...

What I mean is how much use can I get out of one. I am going to be using it on a daily basis for just time keeping but at the weekend I will be doing all kinds of activity and I dont want one to stop working on me.

Sounds like the T-Touch is perfect then, I wear mine for every activity and it's much easier to use than a Casio G-Shock for timing, temperature, etc.

I wear mine daily and it has taken a few knocks without issue. I also wear it mountain biking now and then which really gives it a good shaking - without any ill effects.
